What Are NFPA Cylinders?

These standards not only provide better protection but also allows for part interchangeability.

Double-acting cylinders are available in bore sizes from 2 inches to 4 inches, with stroke length availability of up to 32 inches. Some cylinders come with features including extra cushioning and pivot, flange, and clevis mounting options.
Yates Cylinders offers NFPA tie rod cylinders in bore sizes from 1.5 to 24 inches. We offer 23 mounting options and a multi-year limited warranty. All tie rod cylinders offer NFPA and JIC interchangeability.
Yates Cylinders offers an H6 steel tie rod hydraulic cylinder used in various industrial applications that require consistent clamping, stamping, and forging to complete projects. Our heavy-duty cylinders come in 23 mounting options, and our NFPA devices are interchangeable with JIC models.
A4 heavy-duty pneumatic cylinders are commonly used in the plastic, steel mill, and paper manufacturing industries. These cylinders are typically used in tandem with automation equipment to allow for repeated clamping, forging, bending, and stamping processes.
Built sturdily for medium-duty applications, Yates offers an H4 medium-duty hydraulic cylinder ideal for the plastic, paper and pulp, and steel mill industries. These cylinders are built for medium-duty manufacturing processes, including stamping, forging, shearing and bending. Our medium-duty hydraulic cylinders are offered in bore sizes from 1.5 to 20 inches, with up to 1,500 PSI capability. All Yates cylinders are manufactured in Michigan.
L4 lubricated pneumatic cylinders are manufactured for high-pressure applications. These cylinders are suitable for high-cycle, high-production industrial applications. Yates Cylinders offers lubricated pneumatic cylinders with bore sizes ranging from 1.5 to 24 inches, with 250 PSI capability. These cylinders come with a limited warranty and are available in 23 mounting styles.
A2 light duty pneumatic cylinders are suited for automation applications where hydraulics is not preferred. These NFPA pneumatic cylinders come in bore sizes from 1.5 to 8 inches, with up to 250 PSI capability. Yates offers a limited warranty and 20 mounting options. This cylinder is not suitable for heavy-duty applications.
H2 light duty hydraulic cylinders are an ideal option for any application in which lightweight cylinders are required. These cylinders are offered in bore sizes from 1.5 to 8 inches, with 400 PSI capacity.
